About the course:

On this 8 week Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress course you will learn the skills of Mindfulness and Compassion - specifically to help you cope with stress, anxiety, depression, fear and overwhelm. The course also helps you notice simple enjoyment in life - leading to a greater sense of happiness, calm and fulfilment. You’ll be part of a friendly group and supported by two experienced Mindfulness teachers, Jess and Matthew.

Our brains have evolved to prioritise survival over happiness. Much of our stress comes from the way our brains respond to the modern world. Mindfulness helps you train your mind to work with you rather than against you - promoting happiness and connection . By the end of the course, you’ll be able to apply the skills in everyday life enabling you to respond more fluidly to whatever life brings - with greater stability, calm and resilience. Home practice is an important part of the course - and you’ll need to commit to approx 30 minutes per day.

What you will learn:

  • The skill of mindfulness meditation

  • Self compassion skills

  • Compassion towards others & sense of connection

  • How to work with the breath and body to promote awareness and calm

  • How to work with the brain’s ‘negativity bias’

  • Turning toward simple pleasure & enjoyment

  • How to work with difficult thoughts and feelings

  • Supportive mindful movements

  • Beginning to work with your habitual patterns and tendencies

  • How to bring Mindfulness into your everyday life

  • Greater focus and presence

Cost:

£200 - Full fee (early bird fee: £180, finishes 2 weeks before course begins)

£150 - Concessionary rate (we offer this for those on a low salary and those without income.)

The fees include 8 x 2hr 15 min live weekly sessions, the book that accompanies the course, a home practice booklet and all the audio downloads or CDs of guided practises. These are yours to keep and use after the course has finished.
